*The 2014 local titleholders have been very busy this week, promoting their personal platform and serving the local communities. Hours of dedication go into being a titleholder and representing the region, both before and after the State Pageant. This is not an extensive list of every titleholder’s journey, but rather a peek into their very active reigns. Some events may have been missed or omitted. Please follow each titleholder’s individual journey on their personal blog or fan page. Highlights of the great work done by Local Titleholders this week.

Saturday:

– Lauren, Mohawk Valley: Auditioned to sing the National Anthem at the Boilermaker Road Race, then attended Relay for Life at MVCC
– Sarah, Empire Star: Participated in Trinity Plaza Community Picnic. Then she threw the first pitch at the baseball buddy program of Croton Challengers.
– Caitlin, Erie Canal: Attended Taste of Syracuse.
– Nina, Salt City:  Attended Taste of Syracuse.
– Adrienne, Syracuse: Organized booth for World Ocean’s Day at the Syracuse Zoo, then attended Taste of Syracuse.
– Jamie, Staten Island: Participated in Kids Marathon (pediatric brain cancer research), St. Patrick’s Summer Kickoff Festival, Break the Silence event.

Sunday:

– Adrienne, Syracuse: Participated in the annual Boxing Hall of Fame Parade.
– Nina, Salt City: Participated in the annual Boxing Hall of Fame Parade.
– Lauren, Mohawk Valley: Ran 5k to benefit the Albany PRIDE Center.
– Jamie, Staten Island: Participated in the Great Strides Walk to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.
– Sarah, Empire Star: Ran 5k to raise awareness for My Sister’s Place.
– Emily, Fulton County: Attended a fashion show for the Lexington Center; a local support center for the developmentally disabled.

Monday:

– Christina, Cosmopolitan: Appearance at Good Morning America.
– Julia Rae, Metropolitan: Appearance at Good Morning America.

Tuesday-Thursday:

– Sarah, Empire Star: Participated in Capital Region Relay for Life with the Capital Region Pageant Queens group.

– Lauren, Mohawk Valley: Attended and performed at Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed GLSEN Gala.
