The Pageant File’s original vision was always to highlight the contestants and local titleholders who don’t advance to Miss America. After all, there is only one Miss America! Local titleholders are the heart of the Organization, and we rely on you to keep the heart beating. These lovely ladies competed for a local title and may not have walked away with the crown, but are still making an impact in their respective communities.
This list will be updated as more information is released.
The New York City pageant is back as a triple crown pageant this year, awarding the titles of Miss Greater NYC, Miss Manhattan, and Miss Cosmopolitan. The event was held on November 12, 2016 at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School for International Careers. Last year, Mackenzie Perpich Miss Manhattan was a Top 5 Finalist and Preliminary Talent Award winner at Miss New York.
Throughout history, a winner of the New York City pageant has won the state title more than any other title, so its needless to say we can expect a Top 5 winner (or two, or three) this year as well!
The second Annual Miss Pride of New York triple crown pageant was held on September 25, 2016.The Miss Central New York title was swapped out for Miss Liberty, giving all three titles a truly “open” eligibility. All three of the 2016 titleholders were finalists at the Miss New York pageant (Camille Sims synching the ultimate title), and undoubtedly the local organization expects big things this year as well.
The second annual Miss Copper City pageant was held on August 21, 2016; this year adding the second title of Miss Revere.
