The Miss New York State Fair title has only just recently become an official preliminary to Miss New York, however the Queen of the New York State Fair was held for many years throughout history. In fact, the Queen of the New York State Fair title was often times a “state title” in itself, requiring contestants to first win a community fair pageant.
