Each year one girl will walk away with a local crown, compete at Miss New York (possibly win!), and at the end of her year- she will pass the crown on to the next girl. But these amazing, smart, beautiful, and talented women should not be forgotten. They are an important part of the Miss New York legacy.

The Miss Saugerties- Miss Ulster County – Miss Apple Valley Pageant was founded in 1955. It expanded to include all of Ulster County in 1967, and then again in 2006 to include Dutchess County. Although an inactive title, the pageant holds a key to the rich history of pageants in the lower Hudson Valley.
