Through my participation in the MAO, I found passion in advocacy, most specifically for education in regard to Child Sexual Abuse. To share my family’s story, I have been featured on national television shows such as Good Morning America!, The View and The Wendy Williams Show, as well as hundreds of local news sources. I continue to work with several national and local organizations such as Child Abuse Prevention Program, Prevent Child Abuse America and Safe Horizon and, in addition, I am a National Spokesperson for the new World Be Free Campaign launching this spring.
While serving as Miss America, I was recognized as an Influential Woman at the 2013 Forbes Women’s Summit in addition to multiple awards and honors, including the Presidential Award from the President of FIT, Dr. Brown.
