Miss Copper City Preview and Predictions

This weekend is the first Miss Copper City pageant. There are 7 beautiful ladies vying for these crowns, and entry to the 2016 Miss New York competition. The pageant will be held in Rome, which is also knowns as the Copper City as a result of its history as an extensive manufacturing of copper to all of the United States. Even though the title is tied to a local community, the pageant is open statewide to any girls who are willing to represent the title. This is mind, there are contestants who live close to the region, and others who live quite far, so it would make a nice OSQ, “How will you represent The Copper City as Miss Copper City.”

Miss Finger Lakes 2016

Local Competitions

The Miss Finger Lakes pageant held its 18th pageant, and crowned four new queens to compete at Miss New York and Miss New York’s Outstanding Teen. The competition was fierce, and any of them would have made a wonderful representative of the area, and made the local organization proud.

The outgoing titleholders gave beautiful farewell speeches, and many tears were shed. It is truly special that so many of the 2015 titleholders had earned new titles. For the past two tears, most if not all, of the the runners up went on to compete at Miss New York. It will be interesting to see how many of this year’s contestants go on to join the Miss New York Class of 2016.

  • 2nd Runner Up: Alexandra Harvey-Sprague

  • 1st Runner Up: Emma Silen

  • Outstanding Teen Runner Up: Clara Tyrel
